By using the EmpowerLit Schools website or platform, you agree to these Terms of Use.

This platform is intended for teachers and school administrators acting on behalf of a participating school, and for members of the public viewing the published magazine.

The EmpowerLit magazine is public. Issues are published monthly around a monthly theme. At launch, all published work appears in one shared public magazine rather than separate school-specific issues.

Teachers submit student work on behalf of their school. By submitting, the teacher confirms that the school has obtained any required parent, guardian, or district permission. EmpowerLit's Super Admin decides which submissions are selected for publication.

Submitted work remains owned by the student or original creator. Submitting schools give EmpowerLit permission to review, format, display, publish, promote, and archive the submitted work as part of the magazine.

Users agree not to submit content they do not have the right to share, and not to misuse the platform, including attempting to access accounts or data belonging to other schools.

Teachers and school administrators are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under their account.

Participating schools are responsible for following the school or district policies and permission requirements applicable to them before submitting student work for possible publication. EmpowerLit handles submitted information according to the practices described in our Privacy Policy and Student Data Privacy page.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
